Title: New combo I have tried out
Post by: RevanJJ on August 05, 2012, 04:12:35 AM
I played this and it actually worked.

1st play {Buried Alive} to pull 3 {Vengeful Pharaoh} from your library and place in the GY. Then, as opponent's paranoia over attacking you with creatures builds, eventually let through a hit and let the Vengeful Pharaoh kill it. Here is the usual drawback, it goes on the top of your deck. Well I've been using {Ghoulcaller's Bell} to put it back in the GY from the top of my deck and make opponent lose a card on top of things.

So it's {Buried Alive} + {Vengeful Pharaoh} + { Ghoulcaller's Bell}

Oh...wow, I would actually play a ghoulcaller bell to do this. Good job! You just gave me a reason not to light my ghoulcaller bells on fire for roasting marshmallows this fall.

Better hope they done use pro black or it won't work since pharaoh says target creature.

Thanks guys :)

The fun part is it makes opponent so wary that you can usually buy yourself enough time to do a lot of other things

Good combo!  Also works great with dredge/discard.

True.
Thx!

Was also thinking this could work well with {Geth, Lord of the Vault} out. Make opponent really annoyed by stealing the creatures the Bell forces him to lose.

That's funny because I made combo while trying to find a use for them or was gonna consign them to the crap area of my album lol

Will all the pharaohs go to the top of deck, or only 1?

Only if there are enough attackers for the Pharaohs to destroy. If they only attack with two creatures and you have 3 Pharaohs in your graveyard, each Pharaoh's ability will trigger when you get dealt damage. Once 2 of the 3 resolves, there's no legal target for the third one so the ability fizzles and it stays in your graveyard.

Good question. I put 4 {Ghoulcaller's Bell} in deck for such a situation as opponent will try to swarm once they figure it out. Having 2-3 on BF at the same time helps for these situations as you can then send up to 3 back to GY. Also, they just lost creatures, now losing up to 3 cards from deck, and seeing you set your Pharaoh defense back up. Luckily Bells are cheap to get out. Plus if you really wanna piss them off...use {Geth, Lord of the Vault} to steal any creatures they lost this way.

Each Pharoh will trigger when you take damage, but if they only hit you with one creature, they'd all have to target the same dude (unless it was untargetable). When the first one kills the creature, the other two wont resolve and will stay put.
