Title: Havengul lich?????
Post by: Thattallguy on July 31, 2012, 07:52:14 PM
I am starting to think I have been playing this card wrong with the way everyone is talking about him. Do you pay 1 colorless and then the casting cost of the creature you want to cast or do you just pay one colorless and put a creature from a GY onto the BF under your control?  This may sound silly but I have been seeing combos with him under the heartless lich deck I posted and I am starting to think I have been playing him all wrong. I have seen a few combos casting like 3 cards all for one mana. It isn't making sense. Someone please tell me I am an idiot and not seeing the combo clearly. Or tell me I am an idiot and playing the card wrong or those people are idiots and playing it wrong. The latter I highly doubt. Thanks

You pay {1} then cast the card. To cast it requires you paying its casting cost.

{Heartless Summoning} lowers the colorless cost by {2} to cast creatures.

The true combo is play {priest of urabrask} for {R} and add {R}{R}{R}to your mana pool that you use to recast and net more mana until you have enough to kill with.
