If you could search a card and it would bring up people who have that card. Also if you could remove or add stuff to it

The idea is too vague, we will revisit when the surrounding infrastructure is more defined. We need Friends in iMtG or private bans in Gathering, or something.

Search in Potential Trades looks for cards and peoples names.
So how do I add cards to it?

It should be a trades only highlight/ban. You can be someone's friend in gatherer, but not want him to show up in trade list because he is too away from you.
That sounds like a distance filter though.

Ok, you can be someone's forum friend but not want to trade with him for whatever the reason. The distance was just an example. Then, if you block this guy, you could stop showing up in his potential trades as well, what about?
