For caged sun when you tap a land for mana and lets say you you don't use the extra mana that it gives you can you use it on your opponents turn or does it empty at the end of your turn?
Empties everytime that you change phases. So it won't even carry from your first main phase to your attack phase.

Mana pools empty after each phase and step. If you have mana in your pool (sounds gross 🏊) before combat, it'll be gone as soon as combat starts.
