Something I just thought of, and have no idea how it would work.
If I cast {Evangelize} targeting an opponent who's only creatures have shroud... Does it fizzle? It reads 'target creature', but its of an opponents choice...
Color me confused!
Confirmed, if there are no legal targets for them to choose, then you can't cast it in the first place.
I figured as much... No real rulings on it, but it only makes sense. Can't decide if I should take it out of my EDH decks... I only do multiplayer games, so the chance for it to be a dead card is low, and buyback is nice.
... But it's still pretty terrible, lol
Making a {Jenara, Asura of War} EDH deck that I'm trying to keep in the flavor on Angels. It'll probably stay in just cause. :P
Also putting together a {Multani, Maro-Sorcerer} deck for my cousin I'm trying to keep in flavor. May make Another post for that one.
I dunno. In multiplayer there's often one player with one big monster for you to steal.

{rafiq of the many} is wayyyy better
Rafiq is in the deck. But he's not an Angel, so no commander spot for him! :)

He should be the general, he wins games, I turn 5 won with him, and I never won a game with jenara she's way to slow and easy to kill
because the point of commander is winning.
If I played Commander with a bunch of jerks, I'd certainly make a 'd-bag' deck...
But most of us prefer having fun over winning. The others don't get to play much.
Like this guy with a mobo blue wizard deck that he spent $1000 on supposedly... We don't let him use that deck (often)

Winning= bragging right
Winning twice means we can go home Xd
"we play all night and morning long untill one person wins twice"
Bragging rights for winning an EDH game?
I'm not the bragging type myself: if everyone is having fun, I am.
Hell, had a fantastic game that cumulated with {Brion Stoutarm} versus {Agrus Kos, Wojek Veteran} where I won due to having 3 {Act of Treason}s and swinging for lethal general. He had I think 60 something goblin tokens. Good times :)
Moving to a format where you can only play one of any card, and you have to use 100 cards is not really playing to Spike's interests.
Spikes -> winning
EDH -> doing crazy stuff/combos (sort of)
EDH is more of a Timmy/Johnny format.

This is why I have Kiki jiki, pestermite, deceiver exarch, splinter twin, zealous conscript, niv-mizzet, eyes, and curiosity in one deck XD
