Title: Question about modern
Post by: Greg54js on July 24, 2012, 11:41:08 PM
So for modern is it looked down upon to play infect or do people just not play it cause it's still to standard oriented?

I don't think infect is fast enough for modern. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it would be good enough.

Modern is kinda of..super fast combos (Kiki jiki and restoration angel) (affinity) or control (urzatron variants) ...infect just doesn't have enough support in my eyes. On the otherhand, {inkmoth nexus} could have a home, but I don't think you could base it off of "first to ten"

Wow I thought there would be plenty of support with all the pump spells available

If you think you can get consistent turn 4 wins, I'd say try it out! The format is really fast, but there's no harm in trying it out.

Legal sets essentially. Legacy allows every set to be used. Modern starts at Eighth Edition I believe.

infect used to be viable but then {burning shoal} was banned from standard.

Probably Modern.

I like how the kamigawa block was notorious for "being weak" and underpowered but most of the cards banned in modern are FROM the kamigawa block 😂😂😂

Irony, thou art an evil bitch!
