The enchantment that comes in bypasses shroud because it's a triggered ability effect and not cast from a hand, correct?

Yes it bypasses shroud. It doesn't target when attaching because it wasn't cast 🔨

Yup, but it doesn't bypass protect from the aura's color(s).
