Yes because damage has to be dealt for death touch to work and Vigor prevents all damage. No damage, no death touch.

though death touch + tramplr will still give vigor a hard time.

How would that work? {vigor} prevents all damage. So if a 6/6 blocks a 10/10 trample then 4 would trample over but all damage to the 6/6 would be prevented. Right?

yes but a 10/10 deathtouch and trample. would only have to assign one damage and trample 9 over.
