Title: Goblins!
Post by: Validan on December 14, 2011, 12:26:42 PM
Working on a standard goblin deck and it seems to be very fast and effective most of the time, open to suggestions

20 {Mountain}

20 lands

4 {Goblin Wardriver}
3 {Memnite}
4 {Myr Sire}
4 {Signal Pest}
4 {Goblin Arsonist}
2 {Goblin Fireslinger}
4 {Spikeshot Elder}

25 creatures

4 {Kuldotha Rebirth}
4 {Incinerate}
4 {Goblin Grenade}
3 {Galvanic Blast}

15 other spells

I would not use darksteel relic, only because without rebirth, that card does absolutely nothing until you draw one. I would add in some hero of oxid ridges. And more burn spells. I'm thinking about shrine of burning rage, but I'm not so sure.

I may be alone on this one, but I like {Ichor Wellspring} or {Mycosynth Wellspring} with {Koldotha Ritual} because they replace themselves right away.  Might slow you down though.

Oh, ichor wellspring can definitely be an option although I'm not too sure about the mycosynth, this deck really does not need the extra land drops. Kudoltha ritual isn't a card :)

Ah I was suggesting darksteel relic because i run it in my goblin burn deck but it's more casual because of {goblin war strike}

I fail to see the effectiveness. Unless you are running metalcraft, which then makes sense, but a random zero artifact that doesn't do anything does not seem effective in any means

I guess it just works for me then I don't feel like buying mox opals and using a useless artifact to sac for three goblins on turn one seems to be effective in some way for me I guess :D

LOL  Without metalcraft they are the same card.  ;)  Actually, {Darksteel Relic} is better because at least it's indestructible. (and cheaper $$$)  hehehe

Judging by this deck, it just wants to slap down a cheap artifact or two to use the {Kuldotha Rebirth}.

Yes that's the idea and when it's under a smaller budget this most of the cards I the deck are very easy to obtain. The opal would be a waste of $15 just so I could sac it lol

Well, let's just say it would be an investment for a future deck. :). But the fact that it doesn't do anything else is reason enough to swap it out for something else. {Tumble Magnet}?  {Shrine of Burning Rage}?

So I played this deck against my golemicious deck and it did alright but it could beat it, any suggestions for removing bigger creatures since the goblins are so weak?

Remove the big creatures by killing your opponent before they can play them.  ;)

It was close but it just wasn't fast enough There was a 3-5 life gap in the opponents health total
