Okay, this deck does pretty well at fnm most times, but sometimes I have problems. I want to move away from 7 drops. I want the curve to settle around 5. Which would mean:
-2 {Somberwald Sage}
+1 {Llanowar Elves}
+1 {Avacyn's Pilgrim}
I want to cut down to 1 or 2 {Vorapede} and get completely rid of {Champion of Lambholt}. I want to add more removal (which means mana base gets a tad more black) and add more planeswalkers. I am thinking 2 {Gideon Jura} but I don't know what else. I want to get more control based with this deck while mantaining its aggro style.
Now that you generally know what kind of things I want to change, got any suggestions on what to add/subtract? This is my only standard deck and I want to polish it up real fine. I REALLY appreciate help on this...thanks!
You do well with 75 cards?
What do you use to find things? I didn't see any tutors?
Or anything to thin out the deck.
I defiantly believe it does well, because you're a good player, Im just trying to understand it fully.
It's a form of control deck. He has 15 in his sideboard making 75 total.
I'd say it's a land or 2 short for a control deck but he plays it so he knows better.
A base of it is in the article portion made by Death Gaara.
The card count includes sideboard...

Yes it is 23 lands and does fine. But that is because of the somberwald sages and mana dorks. Once I am done with this deck it will have 25 lands probably...
And yes Death Garaa gave me the inspiration to build this deck. I really like the colors of junk.
As always suggestions are welcomed! ;D
Updated! I think this will do.
I think llanowar is counter productive. The idea of a t2 ajani makes me think that 8 dorks being birds and pilgrim should suffice for a t2 ajani t3 sorin maybe? Tokens on steroids! Haha love the deck colors and potential.
You are very right...but I think I'll add {Arbor Elf} instead of llanowar and pilgrim. Arbor can potentially add 1 of any color so it is more flexible. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!!
I'm not sure I'm following how you get any color with arbor elf since it untaps only forests. I still think that avacyns pilgrim is a better mana fixer since you are running multiple colors.
Oh crap hole in my pants!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought arbor elf untapped target land. Shoot. I guess it is pilgrims then lol
(now that I think of it though...arbor elf may be able to do more when rtr comes! ;) )

Most definitely if shock lands come back it will be the better pick.
UPDATE!!!
Okay, I decided that I didn't want to go the creature direction at all. It's a planeswalker party! I have 8 ramp cards to get things moving faster, along with 3 {Tezzeret's Gambit} to draw and prolif.
I really wanted to make {Thragtusk} and {Restoration Angel} work though, since I love the combo and it could work for this deck. So I sided them in! I feel comfy knowing that I have creatures backing me up in the sb in case the pws decide to half-ass it on the battlefield. ;)
So any ideas? Maybe you are tired of seeing my junk deck variants? Lol
I don't like relentless here. To me he's just meh. I think Thragtusk is too good to now play. He helps stabilize since you could rip him off t3-4 gaining yøū 5 life.
Besides that, it looks like a super friends variant.
I would opt for mass removal since yøū have 4 BOPS only. Idk what you'd cut for it.
Additionally...I think it's important to run 8 mana dorks. That will almost ALWAYS allow for a t2 ajani, gambit, basically anything a turn earlier which is going to be huge for you to stabilize board position running only walkers.
Verdict:
Out with relentless..add 4 pilgrims, keep 4 birds..you should play some sort of mass removal...{terminus}?? It's cheap miracle for {W} only.
There are 2 directions yøū could go both with positive and negatives.
Edit
Another note...as good as lili is...the chance of you hitting here t2-3 is very small. Shed probably get cut to make room for mana dorks and removal.
Hmm how does this look? I did not add mass removal because I added the creatures.
I like the deck, me myself would add more removal though. I'm a spot removal kinda guy XD
I was also thinking, don't you think that 11 ramp spells is a little high? The chances of drawing them is pretty high, but that also goes for late game drawing into it. Maybe drop the far seek for a draw/creature? Or both. {elvish visionary}
Woo no more creatures! I'll have to get used to not casting 3 drops on turn 2.
One question: do you think {Cathedral Membrane} is a good idea? It would be great against {Mirran Crusader}...I just wouldn't know what to take out...
I'd go 4 {midnight haunting}
