Has anyone noticed consistent decks that are winning the drafts ? Any thoughts on which colors are strongest

I would recommend reading some card evaluation articles and just pick the best cards.

This. It depends on your card pool.

I've placed 1st with

Naya mid range (sealed) rares craterhoof behemoth, zealous conscripts, restoration angel.
Mono black removal- demonic rising, lord of ashmouth
U/R humans- no rares
R/W humans-resto angel, silverblade paladin.

The whole point of drafting is that it's not consistent. It all depends on your pool, your pod players and what they're drafting, and what your first picks are that you're lucky enough to open.

Know what you play best - agro, control, etc. Take your first few picks based on what you open, according to what you favor. That's when you establish your color, not before you even start. And even then it shouldn't be set in stone - if your color is getting cut hard, or you notice good cards of another color cycling by - TAKE THE HINT! It usually pays off.
