Title: You're an a**, you know that?
Post by: Artifex on July 20, 2012, 03:56:39 PM
T1: {swamp} + {Dark Ritual} + {Entomb} + {Exhume} = {Thraximundar}

And the worst part is your odds are actually good to get that starting hand.

Can't do it,

the op edited the post from {emrakul} to {thraximumdar} so it works now.

I've had this, but with {Sheoldred, Whispering one}.

Ahhh ok. Got it. I was curious what was shuffled back in. Lmao.

For some reason I thought that {Exhume} was an instant... 😜Nevermind Emmy, my Zombie assassin is way better, and you still get two go's before they destroy it, unless your opponent carries a {Wretched Banquet} ... 😓

The problem with Sheo is that she lets the guy create potential blockers, and it hurts more to see her fall to {terminate} than Thraxi, IMO. It's good to get Sheo soon, just not that soon. So I guess {Akroma, angel of wrath} would be a better choice, but... I still prefer Thraximundar, he is one of my favorite creature cards.

My first move is always {sheolrd, the whispering one} then dumping {it that betrays} to bring it back. Win turn two.

Even if exhume was an instant it wouldn't prevent the trigger for shuffle back into your library.

The ability dosen't go on the Stack then I guess. I thought it would have. What a let down, {Emrakul}... 😠

LOL THAT'S what I do too!
If I get it
T1: {Swamp}, {Dark Ritual}, {Buried Alive} for Sheoldred, ITB, and Avacyn.
T2: {Exhume} She. If they can't answer her fast, T3: Avacyn or ITB, depending.

Ya, either that combo or Sheolrd then {flayer of the hatebound} THEN it that betrays. That's a really fun combo!

HOLY CRAP you guys... Now I definately know what to do with my {It that betrays}... I HAVE TO get my hands on one of these {Buried Alive}... Or 4, actually. Way more awesome than my {Shenanigans}!

Works.

Emmy's is a trigger.  Some reshufflers are a replacement effect ({Blightsteel Colossus}).  Know the difference.  (trigger = When, replacement = instead)

#publicserviceannouncement  ;D

Actually, Exhume at instant speed (via Leyline of Anticipation, Quicken, etc.) would put Emrakul into play:

1. He hits the graveyard.
2. His reshuffle trigger goes on the stack.
3. You cast Exhume at instant speed, thus resolving before the reshuffle.
4. Emrakul enters the battlefield.
5. Your graveyard gets reshuffled into your library, sans Emrakul.

No extra turn, but who's complaining? It's not like he can be condemned or unsummoned...

Yay, then I was right! I thought as much...

Right. Another card like those mentioned will allow it to happen. A lot more mana extensive and probably not possible on t1.

{Leyline of Anticipation} can be on the table before the game starts.  ;)

Touché. I'm not familiar with those cards, they're before my time.

Why do you noobs always forget about {shallow grave}? {entomb} {emrakul, the aeons torn} what for trigger to hit stack then {shallow grave} him. Works better with {Serra avatar} for turn one kills!!!!!!
