Do i need special postage to send from the contiguous states to alaska? I know i do for canada, but do i for alaska?
Tried to find it on there, but i cant
If it is a bubble mailer you will have to fill out a claims form but it does not take long. Shipping a regular envelope to Canada is $.85 so I just use 2 stamps. I would just visit the post office and pay them to print out the correct amount of postage and your good to go.

He's asking about Alaska, not Canada. I've shipped to both, but my wife handles all the mailing so I'm not sure if it was extra to Alaska or not.
I bet it is just 1 stamp since it is part of the US. I know when I was overseas in the Army people in the US did not have to pay extra to ship to the bases since it is technically US territory.
Ok, thanks guys

This is true due to the mail being sorted stateside then bulked to base destination. Technically you're sending it to a US city before it turns over to APO. I have no idea about AK/HI .... I imagine it's standard postage for at least first class letter /shrug
