Title: Clone with snapcaster Mage
Post by: Thattallguy on July 17, 2012, 08:48:00 AM
If I have a {snapcaster Mage} on the BF and a {clone} in my hand can I cast the clone as an instant if I choose to copy the {snapcaster Mage} since it has flash?  Or do I have to wait until one of my main phases to cast the {clone}?

I think you have to wait. The clone doesn't copy the other creature untill it enters the battlefield.

I don't know. {clone} enters the BF as a copy of any creature on the BF. before it even hits the BF it is already a snappy.

True, but it's not a snappy in your hand which is what let's you play it with flash.

Clone only becomes a copy as it enters the BF.  Nowhere else is it a copy, Library, graveyard, or exile.

You can trust us on this one.  Resolved. *gavel*
