So I control 4 3/3 creature tokens and my opponent uses {bonfire of the damned} for 3. Can I use {divine deflection} to counter the 3 damage being dealt to all of my creatures and myself with divine deflection and save all of my creatures?
Say you pay {X}=3 for Divine Reflection. That means you can chose which three damage total to redirect if the damage happens all at once. You can prevent all three to you, one of each dealt to three creatures, but the damage you redirect 3 total.
If you make {X}={4} then you can redirect one point from each saving them all.
Cool thanks
On the topic of that card. If i {bonfire of the damned} for a billion an they reflect lethal on me we draw right?
correct
Actually if you redirect lethal I think you win.

The effect is prevent X deal X. Bonfire would have to hit in order for the damage to be redirected. It's simultaneous.

No because it covers the entire turn like {fog} does. It doesn't just have to be cast right when your gonna get hit with damage
The reflection/prevention happen simultaneously to you taking the damage as well. It all happens before the state is checked, killing both.
Resolved. 🔨
(see scars, this is what happens when you don't use the gavel. 😜)
Exactly, but the point is that in order for me to receive redirected damage of a bonfire then the defending player has to take the bonfire damage minus the reflected damage that hits me. With a billion damage coming at them they wont be reflecting enough to stay alive.
Isn't that what I said? ???
I think we're all saying the same thing here.
