Title: Put onto the battlefield/enters the battlefield

Is putting something on the battlefield the same as something entering the battlefield? Relevance: {Krenko, Mob Boss} putting X 1/1 Goblins onto the battlefield with {Warstorm Surge} out.

As always I will defer to B.Jester and the other rules masters but I'm going with "It Works." and could be very painful.

Yes that works. Put into play and put on the battlefield both will cause "enters the battlefield" triggered abilities to trigger

Let's put it this way nothing can be put onto the battlefield without entering
