Does the "Sacrifice a creature" on Falkenrath Aristocrat have to be your own creature?

Maybe it's just me but I dont exactly see how this is that great of a card (falkenrath aristocrat). Or at least how it is a Mythic card.

Well, for 4 mana you get a creature with flying and haste, which is pretty nice. On top of that, the creature can make itself indestructible and possibly permanently power itself up. Put some low cost humans in the deck and you have an indestructible self empowering creature every turn. It can get overwhelming.

I feel it's strength is in the deck

If I ran falkenrath aristocrat I'd also run 4 {reckless waif} because it's a cheap human to power up the aristocrat, and even if you don't use it for that, it has potential to become a 3/2 for 1 mana.

Notice the deck argus built. It's a great deck. But it and my deck have totally different themes. They are different decks.

Also with volt charge, consider x2 {Chandra, the Firebrand}. Possibly throwing in {Tezzeret's Gambit} for her -2 also.
