Ok so my opponent has a {ratchet bomb} with 3 charges on it and I have {wild defiance} out and a 1/1 creature. I swing with my creature and activate {titanic growth} to hit for lethal, does titanic growth cause my creature to get the +3+3 if my opponent activates ratchet bomb in response to my titanic growth?
As soon as you cast the growth targeting your guy, wild will trigger and put the +3/+3 on Le Stack. After that point, destroying Wild both the bomb will be too late. Your opponent will never have an opportunity to intercept the action.

yes the effect is already on the stack. your creature gets a total of +7+7
edit: jester beat me to it. resolved.
The judges ruled it as me not getting +3+3 so I guess I got screwed

Then you sir need a judge whom actually knows why he is speaking of before he makes his word law
Few things irritate me as much as inept judges. 😡
I our judge will stop a game for 10 minutes to look something up before he makes a ruling. I hate it when judges just make a ruling by what they seem fit as logical. Bc magic isnt always just plain and simple logic. There's alot more to it.
True, but 10mins seems an awful long time to figure things out. That's time you're taking away from players.
Well we have an hour to play at most 3 games of about 10-15 mins each so there's always plenty of time.
That's why I like my little hole in the wall at Fnms we have like 4-5 ppl who have played magic from day one, so they know how the game works and we have 3 rules advisors and the owner is a level one judge an Half the time ppl help out the person in question so the Owner doesn't have to come over its a much more relaxed environment
Yeah I hear ya it's also like that at my card shop it's just there was a lot going on and not one person knew how or what was going to activate in the right order. Some other details from that match which was the 3rd game we're that I had a {spellskite} out and my opponent was playing goblins and he had a goblin that tapped and dealt 1 damage to target creature so there was a lot going on and it must've thrown the judges off but everything else wasn't important except for the wild defiance part which would've saved my creature and I would have moved on to the finals.
Whoa! {Wild Defiance} + {Spellskite}! Good call!
