So, {Far Seek} is replacing {Rampant Growth} technically in 2013. Since this card says search for a plains, island, swamp, or mountain card this is not limited to basic lands. You can search for dual lands correct?
Yep. Probably because shocks are coming back (or they may make new dualies thay count as two land types).

Specifically lands with any one of those types. You can't look for a {Dragonskull Summit} for example. It's neither a Mountian, nor a Swamp.
I forget the name of the card but the type on it is "Land - Forest Plains" that would count right?

Yes, those count. {Temple Garden} and {Savannah} are 2 example.
Maybe {Temple Garden} and others will be reprinted in Return to Ravnica. Maybe they are setting it up for that. 😝

WHAAAA! :o I'd not complain if they gave us the Shock lands again! Cannot have enough of those.
Meh, I want to see something new and crazy!
What do you mean Shock Land ?

Enters the battlefield tapped unless you pay two life, just like {Shock}
The single (and by single, I mean ten) greatest dualies to be printed since the originals.
So this would be good to have in your deck or playing against it?

Lands that are 3 color like UWB must pay 3 life cOmes into play tapped?
Bolt lands? Very original

to encourage multicolor ramp.
To balance the fact that you can find the already mentioned "{Shock}" lands, something few land searches can do.

That's why I think they are bringing them back to standard maybe in Return to Ravnica. Far seek is a reprint. IMO they should bring bak at least 3.

It has to be all or none. They wouldn't print a partial cycle of something like those.
They certainly seem to be teasing a cycle of dualies, though.
if they copy ravnica it'd be four than three than three.

I think they will. 5-2-3 would be weird. I hope they keep the guild structure.

Because {Rampant Growth} would be useless to anyone who doesn't play a cycling format (standard, etc.).

"far" seek. You are seeking out lands that are far from your own. If a green card searched out a forest, shouldn't it be called near seek??? Lol or {rampant growth} :)

I agree- it's for the flavor of the card. :)
Green mana to cast, and the "far" seeks out the other color.

Just for kicks, let's hope they do print a card called {Nearseek} (I'm even putting curly brackets around it so in the future, someone may stumble onto this).
... that makes no sense. they wouldn't print a clearly inferior rampant growth.

they wouldn't??? They make cards that are inferior all the time. Every dual land that theyve printed since the originals has been inferior.

True, but I do think that the return of {Far Seek}, especially in a core set, is heralding the coming of basic-land-type dualies.

I sure hope so. I cant hardly get anybody to trade shock lands to me. :)
I'm about 90% positive they are coming back.
