What does that mean? DKA game day champion?
It was the winning deck at the dark ascention game day tourney
So. Is this guy playing it? Or just posting it?
Probly playing it since he knows it was the champion. Game day is open to every1, unlike the pro tour and stuff like that
Creativity +1
>_>
Tarland wasn't out during the DKA

Good catch on the M13. :)
It can't be dka champion unless I'm missing something...top 2 decks at dka tourney was r/g wolf run
Like i said, this is game day NOT pro tour. And im betting he edited it since dka game day, considering the m13 and avacyn restored stuff
OIC no idea what game day dka is 😒

Yeah ignore the
Dka game day champion
I did used this deck w/o talrand
Talrand replaced sword of war and peace x2 and a geist of saint traft x1.
I have being doing lots of play testing with this list as is and i do not miss the sword all.
Drop ur talrand with either vapor snag/mana leak back and is pretty swett.
You can also hold ur gitaxian probe or other spell that are needed at the moment.
Last nite i went
T5 vs the mirror
Cavern naming wizard, talrand, gitaxian probe, ponder, gut shot on opponents snapcaster, and got myself 2/2 flying x3 dudes.
Why chance drastically what has proven to work?
The entire spell suite rotates the same time swords do, and {Talrand, Sky Summoner} is more suited for a {Favorable Winds} kinda deck, then a Delver kind, but has some synergy with {Snapcaster Mage}. Not a horrible by any means. I feel like I'd appreciate those spots for extra spells instead of a legendary token generator.
I am aware of the rotation and the effect it has on this deck, but we can still use these spells for a bit. Talrand sky summoner is 2UU at a 2/2, although it may seem slow and expensive unlike restoration angel, this guy is a one man army. Snapcaster only helps him. Delver still benefits from the spells as much as talrand does. I carry no swords here since at times the are a little chunky and most people have answer to them in one form or another.
Geist of Saint Traft is a creature that wins on his one, and i do like him lots. I always have. However, there is going to be lots of aggro and strangleroot geist-dungrove elder are pretty annoying. So i now play 3 instead of 4 like i used to.
I literally dropped both sword of war and peace and a geist of saint traft to add the deck a bit more versability against both aggro and control.
Honestly delver didnt get much if not anything once again, so there isnt much to change. Downpour maybe?
I welcome all comments
I have wondered if it's possible to add Jace's Phantasm, Thought Scour and Mind Sculpt to a Delver deck to make it even more aggro? Maybe lose Dismember and Talrand. Just mill the opponent enough to get the ten cards in the graveyard

I do like Jace's Phantasm. The problem is if we make room to make it good, we are taking synergy out of the deck.
Mind sculpt is a no no in my opinion. Thought scour is good. Maybe in that mono delvers list
I've never found the swords to be clunky in standard play, and {Spirit Mantle} to be more wieldy in faster games vs. Tokens.
I tried {Talrand, Sky Summoner} tonight in my playgroup, he was super susceptible to removal ({Doom blade}, {Go for the throat}, ect.}, and he has a weak body for 4 CMC.
I'm always on the hunt for the next level Meta deck, but he didn't do it for me. I'm thinking perhaps {Elgaud Shieldmate} to protect him, but even then it's a tough sell.
Often found myself trading him, since it's not quick enough. Which decks did you play this against?
I learn through playtesting for like six hour that Talrand is a bit soft to removal and that you gotta making him work with other spells, unlike the famous restoration angel. Angel is just better all around , flash flying 3/4 is hard to ignore.
I also learned that Augur of Bolas digs deep for key spells, provides card advange, has great synergy with restoration angel, and can sonewhat fix u draws. For example. Play him, look a the top 3 and u see vapor snag land land. U get what i mean.
He is really good and he is also a wizard.
Bs mono green aggro
Naya pod
Naya humans
Delver
Esper control
Rg aggro
He shines in the green match ups but soft to bonefire. He is good in the mirror too. If you stabilize with talrand is over, the problem is doing so.
How can i share a modified version of this deck O_O?
