GW humans is better in standard because of the lands and RW humans in block which means soon RW humans will be a strong deck post rotation.

I love playing naya humans tbh. Plenty of synergy between the cards and the lands aren't that bad if you throw in a playset of caverns....

Both are good builds. G/w seems to be more consistent. While R/W has a lot of potential to be more explosive.

What's better, a rook or a bishop?

The decks are completely different and IMHO great in their own way.

A rook is worth more points in the end

I don't actually play chess all that often... I was using it in an analogous fashion...

Perhaps I should rephrase  my counterpoint to say "what is better a screwdriver or a hammer"

Why do the chess creatures have points attached to them?
Because some are better than others. XD
Generally
Pawn=1
Knight=3
Bishop=3
Rook=5
Queen=9
King=9001

Agreed. Naya humans gives you the best of both worlds.

-It's..... 1006
-Really?
-Ya, kick his ass nappa
-Yay! Ouch!
-Wait wait wait wait! Nappa
-WHATTTTTT?????

How the hell would they end up with a tie without two kings on the board (and thus the same point totals)
Maybe a time limit.

^this^

There's also this thing called a Stalemate.

Really, it's mostly to evaluate "should I trade piece X for their piece Y?"
