Say I want to put duals in but don't have rare duals, would the zendikar duals be a viable solution?

{akoum refuge}
{kazandu refuge}
{sejiri refuge}
{jwar isle refuge}
I would rather run all basics than have my dualies enter tapped. IMHO

Ya I know. I cant decide. I found some of these and am curious if they are ok to play with. I don't play competitively or anything but the lose of a turn with them kinda stinks. No one in my meta can usually start things up til turn 2-3 anyway which is why I'm debating.
Possibly a land that comes into play tapped, deals 2 damage to you but counts for 3 color combination like esper/jund, etc
What about {evolving wilds}? You can get the basic land you need. Just do it at the end of your opponents turn, and it's untapped and ready to go on your turn.

Still an unusable land for the turn I played it. And in any case, this land would still produce either color and gain me a life.
Lands that enter tapped are for casual play only, I find them unplayable personally. Like coffee said, rather run basics then give away a turn.

to start the game on the play i suppose it's ok if you're playing some some of control...but nothing bites more than needing a land and drawing that crap and having to wait another turn :/
And besides, how often does anyone win/lose by 1 health? I'd either spring for the core duals or get fetches like {terramorphic expanse} or {evolving wilds}.
Just use the pain lands ({shivan reef}). There cheap and won't come into play tapped.
it honestly depends on what type of deck you're using

This is what I was gonna say. Personally, I think they're really nice.

I don't have that unfortunately. Im trying to make use of any type of dual land that I have. The guild lands were a bust in my decks bc I would usually get them too early. So I figured Id try any and all dualies I had.

New players are pain-averse. These lands don't do well because rookie players don't like taking damage for mana-fixing.
