Title: -1/-1 counters & undying
Post by: RevanJJ on July 01, 2012, 01:34:55 PM
I am sure this is here somewhere, but didn't see it.

If I have a creature like Phyrexian Crusader who is 2/2 with infect(deals damage as counters) and someone blocks with a 1/1 or 2/2 creature with undying..does it just die and come back...or is undying never triggered due to the counters?

Thanks

The creature with undying comes back. If it had regenerate it wouldn't come back. Since it actually goes to the graveyard the counters are removed.

If a {Butcher's Ghoul} (a 1/1 with Undying) with a +1/+1 counter blocks a 2/2 creature with infect, it'll die and not come back.

Thanks guys. I see where I goofed. I was thinking if it had ANY counters on before undying was triggered that it would die. Duh for reading the rule w crossed eyes lol
