Title: Planeswalkers
Post by: Otownplayer on June 30, 2012, 11:40:13 PM
Do planeswalkers count as creatures or players referring to target player or creature?

No they do not. But damage from a burn spell can target a player and then you can redirect the damage to the planeswalker.

I have older cards before planeswalkers that don't specifically say target planeswalker so can I not use them on planeswalkers?

"target permanent" still targets planeswalkers. And if it says "target player" you can usually redirect that to a planeswalker.  You can slam a {lava axe} in Jace's face.

What about ninjutsu? Like I use my {ninja of the deep hours} to attack a planeswalker and hit it, would I draw a card? I was confused about this earlier today.

No, though you could target a planeswalker with your ninjutsu'd guy, but when the damage is dealt, it's hitting a planeswalker (a permanent) and not a player, so you would not draw a card.

Dammit. That's what I thought but I didn't want it to be true. Lol thanks. I wish Wizards would revisit kamigawa and make more ninjas or Kung fu/martial arts cards.
