Hopefully someone out there likes drafting like I do.
This is somethig I've been contemplating running but never had the guts to go for. It ended up paying off since I won FNM last night. So in a way im going to post cards and then explain why they are good and bad.
{demonlord of ashmouth}
Great pick considering the theme of the deck and a 5/4 flier is good for 4 IMO. Only bad part is if he is getting killed and you have nothing out.
{homicidal seclusion}
Ok this is probably 50/50. If you are playin lots of removal and have more cards than your opponent this is a good card. I got stuck with this and top decked lands while my opponent pinged me away. Good in theory, ended up takin it out for another {undead executioner}
{essence harvest}
Wins yøū really tight games.
{soul cage fiend}
It's ok. Didn't pan out like I had hoped considering you lose life as well. If you have card advantage it's great. If you're throwing blockers at a {wolfir silverheart} and low on life, Yeah it's bad.
{butcher ghoul} X 3
Amazing card. Seriously, synergises with the next card I'll talk about. Has 2 cmc, works with {driver of the dead}. Blocks comes back bigger..it's just good.
{bone splinters} x 2
Need I say more? Removal with a butcher ghoul? Excellent play.
{death wind} x 3
I was super excited by getting 3 copies and it helps clear the path but nothing sucks more than having a fatty out and you have a death wind with not enough mana to kill it. I wouldn't take that many again. I could have got 2 more ghouls.
{demonic taskmaster}
Synergises well with butcher ghoul and the next card I'll talk about and homicidal seclusion. T2 ghoul t3 taskmaster swing for 4 in air next turn. It's pretty good I'm glad I didn't draft more than 1.
{demonic rising}
For this deck it worked perfectly. T2 butcher ghoul with some other shenanigans ended up t5 demonic rising. Oh you want to block my guy and kill them? Thanks for the free 5/5 flier. I want another lemme sac to {bloodflow connoisseur}.
{undead executioner} x 2
When he dies kills a 4/4 he blocked or some pesky soul bound creature.
{driver of the dead}
returns my butcher ghouls and is fodder for bloodflow.
{human frailty}
Kills humans easily in a format with lots of them.
{dark imposter}
He's a house in mono black sucking up all your awesome creatures. No brainer.
{blood flow connoisseur} x 2
Sac outlet to block and pump. Always nice.
{blood artist}
Won me a tight elimination game in the final round. He's one of the best cards in limited and probably the best in black.

Black is hit or miss in Avacyn draft. It sounds like you got the good stuff though. The removal is super important, ({death wind} and {bone splinters}) and those {butcher ghoul}s are such good 2 drops, especially if you have {demonlord of ashmouth}.

{homicidal seclusion} imo is the best black card in the set. Ive drafted/sealed prob 40 times and it normally hits the board and just wins me games.
Was winning 20 to 4. He has out a {gloomwidow} and I have a bunch of humans. He plays homocidal and attacks an I'm thinking I still might win. Next turn pumps his widow with {blessings of nature} and he whoops me. That match ended him 2 me 1

So, almost everyone else at my table was a total newb so I drafted this.
25 cards? Running 15 lands double color? Yikes!!! Mono color decks I like to run 16, dual 18-19 depending on casting costs.
I played 17 lands and had about 6-7 lands out by the time I won.
