Title: Yoshi, the Morning Star and copying and undying
Post by: Coffee Vampire on June 28, 2012, 01:46:07 AM
If I give {Yoshi, the Morning Star} Undying, then I have {Phantasmal Image} enter the battlefield as a copy of it, will I get to tap 20 of my opponent's perminents? Also, do I get to make him or her skip his or her next untap step four times?

Edit:
Here is my reasoning behind this:
- both of them die because of the legend rule.
- both of them come back then die again because of the legend rule.
This makes a total of 4 times that yoshi dies.

You'll only have two Yoshi's dying, one will come back. You'll tap up to ten perms and they miss two untap steps.

I thought that a {Phantasmal Image} with Undying came back? This is not so? :0

It's not a copiable characteristic of Yoshi's.

If you had {Mikaeus, the Unhallowed} out, that would do the trick, yes?
Yes, then Coffee's original plan would work. (tough mana-scheme though).

Probably better off with reanimator/frites. Piper is too squishy and you still want to be able to hard cast if needed.
