On MTGS don't listen to King Pun. Huge troll.
Seriously?:
I think this guy should be thrown in jail for a few weeks for something like this in these tourneys u are playing for alot of cash and this is ahkin to stealing. I think people at my LGS do this all the time without me noticing and I will now have an eagle eye for it. Good topic.
I wonder if any of these guys have seen a boob?

What does boobs have to do with playin magic? Sounds like a snide remark considering they're more qualified players than yourself and yøū feel the need to pick on them.
We get the point, you've made it before. UGLY PEOPLE PLAY MAGIC GET OVER IT.
In reference to the video, guy doesn't deserve to ever play competitively again. I hate cheating so much

I agree with you. Guys play magic. Girls play magic. Why does seeing a boob make you less of a magic nerd? I have a girlfriend of 3 years and I'm considered the "hot teacher" at my school according to numerous teachers who have heard students talk about the topic. Not flattering myself but making a point. The two are not connected. None of my friends knew I played magic unless I told them and they probably would have never found out either. You are who you are. Let's not point fingers.
The real issue to me is the smoothness of that slight-of-hand... He has done this before... A few times... People like that ruin a games credibility if they are not dealt with.
{Burn at the Stake}!!!
He didn't learn that over night. How can people have fun by cheating?
How did he heat? I didn't catch it.

His opponent put his batterskull at the bottom of the library via vedillion clique..., he uses his fetch land to grab a land...pickin up entire library except for 1 card the batterskull he moves the batterskull to his hand. It's really bad.
Blows my mind. I guess he didn't know he was being taped? What a dummy.

At that level, it's about cash, not fun.
They caught it on camera. Did the announcers say anything? Because I heard nothing about the judges doing anything.
Just play then moved on to new people.

when he dropped batterskull on the BF the other conceded. I dont know how none the commentators missed it
Magic at that level, or any level with that much on the line, creates people that play to win. A few years ago, going back several years, a few pro players were caught cheating then began playing Texas Hold'em professionally.
WotC had long been lax on cheaters, because they're naive. It's a game that very much hopes your opponent is truthful. What he did may have happened to all of us at one point at FNM, and means the difference between winning a box or losing one.
It's a shame, but what can be done? It's good that there is private play groups to drink and have fun with. There are low-stakes shops that run tournaments where people can trade, help out kids, and just talk with a game we all like. There are apps like this.
Yeah most people are good and honest but then you get the cheaters. The game was made so poeple could have fun. Not so people could cheat just to win money.
If everyone understood that then the ammount of cheaters would decrease severely.
If everyone understood that socialism would be a viable option ;)

For some people, money is more important than integrity. And if WotC is lax about punishing real cheaters, than it'll just encourage more of them.
Nature seeks the highest gain for the lowest cost/risk. If players learn that a little slight of hand can give them and advantage, and the reward is $$$ or cards (as good as money) and the risk is small (cheaters aren't punished strongly) then these people will crop up more and more.

You may as well not bother saying something that has the words "if everyone understood" or "if everyone would" cuz the fact is everyone is going to do what they want. Only thing that can be done is to punish this type of behavior to help mitigate it in the future.
So this guy cheated and actually placed? Wow

Raging over an ignorant comment doesn't make you any more on point;
On point, this guy should be banned from tournaments for 1 year at minimum, who knows how many people he's janked
I think they should be banned for life, honestly. I'm normally not a harsh penalty guy, but he's been caught cheating a game. It's a privilege to be able to play. There are thousands of players, losing 1 cheater isn't the end of the world.
I think what's more important is the message to be sent. "Don't Cheat, fatheads!"

This, but I would use expletives :D
I was talking to a dude a FNM, that goes to a lot of tourneys. Some how we got on the topic of cheating. He said that there are a lot of cheaters out there, and you have to watch you opponent like a hawk. He said that magic is a card game, and that card games attract cheaters just by there nature. He said that he's witnessed cheating all the way down to just drafts, where the prizes aren't really that big.
Sometimes, kids don't even realize what they are doing is cheating. I heard of a kid who saw a good foil card in his opening booster in a draft, so he pocketed it. He thought that was okay.

If it was intentional, and he knew that's one thing, but you said he didn't know and I'm going to assume he had to give it back.
Also we had some guys sharing cards at the avycen restored pre release sealed tourney.
My buddy was playing a korean kid and his friend was next to him. They were speaking korean and he asked them to stop. I came over like 5 minutes later and they started again... I went and got a judge.. Judge told them if they spoke in another language that my friend didnt understand they would both be dq'd. They threw a fit and said we were racist. He replied with.. For all we know your talking about the game and telling each other what to do. They said well english isnt our main language so we speak in korean to speak faster. Judge told him he didnt care. That table talk is not legal.. Lets just say they got dq'd after another minute. Come to find out they were talking about the gAme and had switched decks a couple of rounds...
I played a guy that was notorious for cheating. For example the thing I caught him doing was brainstorming then playing another brainstorm before putting cards back. Turns out he was notorious for this and ppl would keep card count tallies for him.
Cheating is everywhere, if it's honest I'm fine with it, but on purpose is despicable.
Then running line at my LGS if you make a mistake we always say"that seems really good," things like missing upkeep triggers or green sunning for non green creatures, fun stuff like that.
I know tl;dr
