Title: Ashmouth hound rule
Post by: Quisequise on June 26, 2012, 11:40:24 AM
The ashmouth hound has the ability that when it blocks or becomes block it deals one damage to target creature. Do that effect happen before combat damage or with the combat damage?

Before. Essentially it can't be harmed by anything with 1 toughness.

It happens right after blockers are declared, at the beginning of the Declare Blockers step.
