I wasted about 5 hours yesterday to put half of my real card collection into " my prescious", today I wanted to go on with the other half. I started the app and it asked me if I want to update the database, "sure, why not?" I thought. It was a quick update, after the update I opened "my prescious" and guess what? There was not a f---ing single card in it. "No problem I thought", because I'm not stupid and made a backup yesterday after all the work was done. I used my dropbox for the backup, so I restored it and thought it should be fine. But of course not, I now have exactly F O U R cards in "my prescious". Then I deleted my collection and deleted the app, after I reinstalled it I hoped the backup would work now, but guess what?! Of course it's the same s--t, after the backup I have my F O U R cards again.
So now I'm pretty much f---ed and can't do anything. Sure I could just start from the beginning and waste again 5-10 hours for my whole collection, but as I said I'm not stupid...
BTW the backup function for the decks don't work too! I only had 1 deck there so that's no big deal.
So really nice, now the app is just useless for me and I wasted 7,99€ for the "have it all" feature, I wished that would enclude a working backup function...

I just tryed something for fun:
Added a card to my precious. Made a dropbox and itunes backup. Deleted the card in my precious, restored the backup (tryed both), guess what? Zero cards in my precious.
Please tell me master, what do I wrong? How is the backup function going to work?
And why did my database even get screwed?

Such a great way to get support. I understand you're pissed, but stuff happens. It's a damn shame you wasted 5 hours. But instead of getting an attitude, check it at the door. Because frankly, I'd give you a good smack and tell you to un-f*** yourself. Maybe if you ask nicely you'd receive the help.

If anything like this happens to my normal nice customers, you guys just restore from the automatic iTunes backup and Bob's your uncle. Every time Database Upgrade is performed, iMtG is gonna back your stuff up right before it commences, you can see a list of your timestamped backups when you hit Restore Collection or Decks.
And as I said before, the whole backup function isn't working for me. I tryed a lot of things the last 30 minutes, backing up and restoring a few times. Most of the time the restoring won't work. And at the moment I have 4 cards in my precious, I used the delete my collection and decks button and nothing happens, the cards are still there...
I have no clue what's going on with this app on my iPhone, and I don't use a jailbreak or something like this...
At the moment the app is completly screwed, I can just use it as an online database at the moment, but I could do the same with every browser.
Then be smart about it and find the latest backup before you did Database Update, checking the timestamp and size.

THE BACKUP DOESN'T WORK!
Even new backups I created for testing don't work! Most of the collection/deck/database features don't work for me at the moment.
Dude really, I told you 4 times that I can't restore the backup probaly, that's my nig problem!!! I have the iTunes Backup, but it doesn't work, after restoring it I have 4 cards in my precious not the 400-500 from yesterday.
Which part of 'reboot your device' did you not understand? Plug it in and check the amount of free space too.
Rebooting doesn't help, I even reinstalled the whole app. There are 10gb free space.
Is there a way to delete those iTunes backups? I have 43 after all the testing I did.
Yes, you can delete them in iTunes while your device is plugged in. My bet is that the biggest one is your backup.
Actually, if you reinstalled the app then your backups are truly gone. This is where you shoot yourself in the foot. Guys, if you're not stupid don't do this. You delete the app, the automatic backups are gone, simple as that.

That's nice, I said in my first post that I deleted the app after the problem was there. And _after_ all that I tested a lot with the whole backup function, that's why I have so many iTunes backups _after_ reinstalling the app.
Really nice how paying customers are treated.
Anyway it seems I got it working again. I added 30 cards, made a backup, deleted all, restored and voila I had 30 cards like it should be. I added 20 more and repeated the process and it worked again. I'll just pray it won't change.
I wasn't talking bulls--t in this thread...of course I was mad, who wouldn't after 5 hours of "work" are gone?

I misunderstood you there, my English isn't the best as you noticed.
And by the way, I noticed that the card search is very slow if I choose german as my prefered language, maybe you can look into that for any future updates if possible, cause if I choose english it's fast.
And I noticed that the multiple language search doesn't work if I choose english as my language. If I search for a german card I'll get zero results, but if I choose german and search for an english card it works. Would be very nice if that would be working both ways for the english language.
What is your Multilanguage search switch in Settings set to?
Nevermind, it's actually broken the other way round. You cannot switch it off so if your language is set to Deutsch, it always searches both German and English names, even if the Multilanguage search is off. 2.1 will rectify this.

The switch was meant to disable the search while having something else than English selected. Alas, it is broken ;)
I tryed both settings, on and off. That's the second little "bug" I found with the sorting after mana thing.
Is nobody else using all the features of this app? xD

I have no reason to search in different languages. So no I'm not using all the features. I'm sure it's like this for a lot of us.
