Title: Exalted + protection
Post by: Jroch314 on June 26, 2012, 02:45:22 AM
Ok, so having a small debate among my normal circle. My buddy is building an exalted deck (got the idea from DotP 2013). The deck is {B} {W}, and he's is contemplating putting {Knight of Glory} in it when M13 comes out. The debate we are having is he has many {B} creatures that give exalted. The {Knight of Glory} has protection from black. Would it still get +1/+1 from a black permanent that has exalted?

Yes it would because the black creature does not target it.

For instance, if a black creature said: whenever a creature attacks, destroy it. ...then it would not matter it a creature had pro black; it would die. Same with exalted. Exalted doesn't target, so protection won't do anything.

Eeyup. Exalted doesn't target. It says "a creature you control." Therefore, it works around Protection and Shroud
I know its a silly question, but yea that's what I was telling them. They didn't believe me lol. But now they will. Thanks a bunch.
