Title: Death by exile
Post by: FlickerYourOwnIdentity on June 24, 2012, 09:47:15 PM
If you exile a creature, does it die? Take Soulcage Fiend for example.  Say you exile it using cloudshift would Soulcage Fiend's effect that says "when this creature dies deal 3 damage to all players" apply. Or does exiling not trigger the effect

I have no idea what any of those cards are. I do know that exiling a creature does not kill them.

If you were to {Pillar of Flame} a {Doomed Traveler} you woul not get a token.

Exile doesnt cause cards to 'die'. They cease to exist.

lets see what the definition of die is in mtg. "when a creature enters the graveyard from the battlefield"

i'll leave you to interpret that correctly.
