If I have one mana in my pool on opponents main. Can I use that mana at the end of his main phase? Or can I not since I don't have priority?
No. Any mana floating dissipates at the end of any players phase.
Ref. 106.4
Players have to pass priority before ending a main Phase.
Did I miss read?
You read the rule correctly, he'll lose the mana if he doesn't use it. But he was asking if he would be given priority at the end of the main phase so that he could use it, which he will.
as long as it's the same phase the mana is still available to you.

That is what I thought. This guy was trying to tell me that he had priority and he chose to change to attack phase since it was his priority and I could not respond.
What happen was that he used {wasteland} to destroy my {plateau}. I responded by tapping for 1 white so I could either cast {path to exile} at the end of his main phase or use my {scroll rack}. He said since I passed back priority he decided to change phases and I could not use my mana at the end.
I then said what if you did absolutely nothing on your main, would I not be able to cast or use an ability? He said no I could not unless I was responding to his actions.
Next time show him this:
CR505.2. The main phase has no steps, so a main phase ends when all players pass in succession while the stack is empty. (See rule 500.2.)
Then punch him in the ear. 👊👂

The knowledge that I've helped another player punch someone in the ear is all the thanks I need. 😌
