Title: Trample infect
Post by: Ghebert on June 23, 2012, 05:06:11 PM
If my 10/10 infect creature with trample attacks and a 1/1 creature blocks him. Does the 9 trample damage go to the player as infect?

Yeah if you read the description under infect, the damage that is dealt by an infect is counted as -1-1 counters to creatures and to players as infect counters

Yes it will block 4 -1-1 counters and the rest go through.

Now if say a {gloom surgeon} was in play blocking then your opponent wouldn't get poison counters

Gloomy would block 1 point of damage, the rest would trample over.

Thanks for the replies.
I do understand how trample works.
I've just never played infect decks or against them so I didn't know if there was an exception to it. Thanks again everyone.
