{Crovax, ascendant hero} is a boss card in my opinion. But what is the best use for him? What would be a really good combo for him?
Combo? Nothing can make him combo worthy, too expensive, and his ability is static, not an etb ability, I guess you could pay 2 life and return him to your hand of you want. But that really only saves him from death.

Honestly I would use him bc I do not own an elesh norn, and do not have the resources to go out an get one. I have 3 crovax and want to see if there is a use for him.
you can feasibly pod into or reanimate
crovax. which is basically what you can do with elesh norn.
