So I am pretty new at commander. I want to build a deck but don't know who my commander should be. Can anyone suggest a good one? Maybe a green black and white and good with ramp, Agro, and life gain or something.
That exact color combination only seems to have 4 legendary creatures to choose from. All 4 are good commanders though. {Ghave, Guru of Spore}, {Karador, Ghost Chieftan}, {Teneb, the Harvester}, and {Doran, the Seige Tower}.
Ghave Is pretty versatile. I've seen him work great with token decks.
Karador is all about Reanimator decks. I built one with him as the general, and am very happy with it.
Harvester looks like a reanimator type too, but focusing on opponents graves instead of your own.
And Doran turns a deck of high toughness creatures into killing machines.
There's always {Chromat}, {Child of Alara}, and {Progenitus} too, for a 5 color deck that you can focus on any colors you want as your 'main' colors.
{Riku of Two Reflections} can have good ramp and agro with the added goodness of blue. Life gain isn't worthwhile in EDH.
Cool I'll look into all those guys thanks. It doesn't have to be three colors it can be any one or two colors I don't care, I'm just trying to find a good commander that suits me. Any thing else that may be only two colors or something?
