no cus you have to pay the cost. you don't try to pay costs you either do or you don't and then the spell or the ability does or does not go on the stack.

As BJ always tells us, CAN'T trumps CAN. So you can try to pay the 7 life, but since the emporion says you can't, it's overrules it.

Also, you can't pay with something you don't have. Even if you had {Phyrexian Unlife} in play, if you have 6 life or less you cant pay 7 life. The game doesn't take IOUs.
Stuff like {Sign in blood} would work though. Or that black minion who lets you put the top card into your hand then lose life equal to tge cmc.
