The only real advantage of the dial in this deck would be the off chance that he has 5 mana open to cast the dragon and use the dial so he can keep it as a blocker. Considering he only has 2 dragons means that opportunity is unlikely and realistically if he needs to do all that for 1 blocker than chances are he is in a losing battle anyway.
