Title: What's that? You can't play spells?
Post by: Desolatus on June 04, 2012, 01:21:32 PM
{Knowledge pool} + {Curse of Exhaustion} = your opponent's spells don't do anything and you have exclusive use of the knowledge pool.

Lmao. Obviously it would be sideboarded.

Sick combo! Add a {memory erosion} or {forced fruition} that would be a real control!

Yes, every combo CAN be countered. Assuming you have it in your sideboard and you put it in your deck, and assuming you can get it out before me, you still had to take out anywhere from 1-3 of your cards to counter a combo that isn't essential to my deck it's done it's job.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it.

I think those other spells might be wasted with this combo, though. :/ If I get this combo out you wouldn't want to play any spells anyway, you know?

I actually saw this tried at fnm last week. You would be surprised.

Ah, well, it can still win you a game or two every couple of rounds, eh? :)

I think the guy got third. So it's not bad or anything.

Try and look for more to set it up. Because two cards in a whole deck is going to be hard to pull.

Of course, unless you play {Knowledge Pool} and they play YOUR {Curse of Exhaustion} on you out from under it.  XD

See, I played {Knowledge Pool} + {Rule of Law} + {Hive Mind} + {Pact of the Titan} (and other pacts)

I was able to take down five opponents out of nowhere with that one.   ;D

How does this work?

How does this work?
It's actually two parts: {Hive Mind} + one of the pacts.  You cast it, then everyone else puts a copy on the stack too.  Now, they have to pay the cost on their upkeep or lose.

The second part: {Knowledge Pool} + {Rule of Law} means that players can only cast one spell a turn and that one spell gets sucked into the pool.

So now, no one can resolve a spell, but when you play a pact, everyone gets a copy, yours gets removed, and everyone else's still resolves.

*EVIL*

My Lockdown runs this ^^ Just hope your opponent is not playing graveborn or flashback XD (an {Ancient Grudge} breaks it no sweat)

Jester's or the Knowledge pool?
