Title: Another flicker question.
Post by: Dblac on June 03, 2012, 10:53:59 PM
I recently read an article on the starcity rss feed by Ken Bearl where he refers to a combo with flickering a stonehorn dignitary twice on your turn and there by making you opponent skip the next two attack phases.  In the article he mentioned doing this with a vencer.  Does this work?  Could I do this with a deadeye navigator? Or two of any of the other flicker cards and/or abilities?  Thanks.

Well with venser you have to flicker first then use venser, because vensers ability brings it back at the beginning of your end step.   But yes of you flicker a card twice the ETB trips twice. Not sure about the wording on deadeye though.

It bounces with deadeye I'm just not sure when it returns. So the ETB still works

{Stonehorn Dignitary}, {Venser the Sojourner} {Deadeye Navigator}

If you use the navigator, it essentially becomes "{1}{U}: Target opponent skips his or her next combat phase."

And it adds up.  Sick XP

Ok. To make sure I'm reading this correctly. I can flicker Digni three times in one turn and that opponent has to skip their next three combat phases????

Sick combo when you can deadeye it, cloud shift it, and then conjurers closet it. Very cool. So excited to play my flicker deck next time and blow my friends mind with that.
