{lumberknot} could be ok
{core prowler} could be something different
{rush of blood} and {fling} could also work in here
{young wolf} or {geralf's messenger} could work with their undying

You could nearly look at birthing pod decks for some ideas.

What do you think of {blood artist} in the deck? Is it worth it?

Yeah could work, but I would try and limit a deck like this to two colours or at least try and keep your main focus in one or two colours. If you have key cards in each colour you may never get them out in time.
Just a thought.

Well the deck is g/b with a splash of red for brimstone.
