I pulled a day of judgement today and the clerk at the store told me it's not that good a card, I thought it might be useful. I run a GW human deck and my friend says it's helpful but in a control deck. Is it not worth adding to a deck?

Your store clerk is dumb I love Doj of course I'm a control player and I have decks that use it as a 2-3 of to wipe the feild

I am a fan, but I play multiplayer and you need sweeps. I hear a lot of new players complaining about {Day of Judgment} beacause "why would you kill your own stuff." but the idea is if you are winning the creature race
dont cast it you're ahead. So what if it's a "dead card" you're ahead. You hold on to it until you're behind.
DoJ is good because it can give you card advantage, you can take out many cards for one.
No he's dumb I love day of judgement I have 8 ^.^ I also love {danmnation} but is expensive T.T
I agree. I play a creature heavy EDH deck and if my opponets have crazy creatures on the field and I don't have much. A board wipe is an easy decision.
I prefer {wrath of god}
I've seen {Day of Judgement} win games. One of the drawbacks is {Inkmoth Nexus} and indestructible creatures (from {Avacyn, Angel of Hope})

At one time I had a {Damnation} but traded it because I didn't think it was good... I was so stupid :'(
Agreed, tell the store clerk he's a moron.
Thing is, I don't think that DoJ is seeing a lot of top tier play.

I dont play top tier, I play with friends at school in between classes.
My cousin has a mono-white fliers deck with {suture sprite} so he regens his stuff the DOJ smash my face. :(
Well since I only play EDH, Horde: Apocolypse, any deck with white, I used it. Plus I have the textless foil one, so it looks so good
I agree it's not an incredibly great card, but it's like BJ said if you need it, you play it, if you don't need it, you don't play it, I can't recall one time that I was pissed about drawing one during play.

Same here. For me, I always use a slot for it in my decks. Never been am about drawing it. It's like an ace in the hole. If things get bad wipe the slate clean. It's great when you have no creatures and everybody else has a bunch.
Yeah and remember board wipes are the only things that get passed hexproof! DoJ is the Way 2 Go! :D
Well, maybe I should be more specific: universal effects. But don is a great universal effect!!!
