So lets say my opponent has a {doomed traveler} and a {trusted forcemage} bonded together.
I attack him with a and then we he declares that he will block with the travler I kill it with {doomblade}. Then would the spirit come in and bond with the forcemage and block my creature? Basically would the spirit come in and be able to block?
No. He has already declared blockers. You doom bladed him in response to declaring a blocker. Once blockers have been chosen, it goes to the dmg phase. The only odd thing is would your creature be declared "blocked" bc it has been chosen to be blocked by a creature that is no longer in play.
You have to assign all your blockers at once before you can use spells or abilities. He can't assign some blockers, do some stuff, then assign more blockers.
So would his creature be blocked even if the blocking creature has been doomed? (funny using a DOOM blade on a DOOMED traveler. What are the odds!)
yes the creature is still blocked.
You need to wait until he declares all blockers and confirms his declare blockers step is done. After this step comes damage step but you are allowed to use instant or abilities betweens these steps which in your case is the doom blade.....his blocker dies, the token comes in play, he cannot assign the token as a blocker since the blocking phase is done, and your creature who was assigned to be blocked by the traveller does no damage unless it has trample. That about sums it up.

Slight correction, but you can use instants and abilities during the Declare Blockers step, right after blockers are declared.
Wait. So even if I remove the blocking creature before combat is assigned, then no combat damage hits the player?
I did not think you can cast during the declare attacker and declare blocker phases. I know it does not let you on DotP and their rules are built in....not saying they are perfect but I only ran across one occurrence of there system being flawed.

Exacta. Say you block. Before damage is dealt you {Cloudshift} or {Mistmeadow Witch} your creatures no creature that was blocked will hit you. UNLESS they carry trample
You can check the Basic Rulebook under turn structure. You can do stuff during Declare Attackers and Declare Blockers, but only after you have made your declarations.

Well after declarations is what I would consider concluding that particular step but I see your point from a technicality basis.
Also when the spirit comes back into play it can bond with the forcemage again
