Title: Turbo fog
Post by: Clearmario on June 01, 2012, 01:05:26 AM
Hey everybody, I'm taking turbo fog to FNM tomorrow and I need help with the sideboard. My main worries are {delver} ( mana leaks mainly) and {hell rider}. Suggestions to the deck are also gladly welcomed. The win con is {rites of flourishing} and once I get the lands to splash white, I'll add {divine deflection}

Deck

60 cards, 0 sideboard

8 {Forest}
6 {Island}
2 {hinterland harbor}
4 {glacial fortress}
2 {sun petal grove}

22 lands

4 {Rites of Flourishing}
4 {Ponder}
4 {Clinging Mists}
2 {Elixir of Immortality}
4 {Moonmist}
2 {Beast Within}
4 {Forbidden Alchemy}
2 {Time Reversal}
4 {Fog}
2 {Think Twice}
4 {Blunt the Assault}
2 {divine deflection}

38 other spells

Sideboard
4x {gut shot }
2x {never more}
1x {karn liberated}
2x {jace memory adept}
2x {devastation tide}

Milling them since they are drawing 2-5 cards per turn because of { rites of flourishing} and fogging to stall. I just played venser control so I'm used to slow decks which this is.

Okay, sure. Maybe throw in an {Increasing Confusuion} or two. I also thing {Taimiyo, the Moon Sage} is well suited for this deck.

I tried increasing confusion and I didn't like, I was planning to add {divine deflection} instead since it prevents damage and deals it. Also if I ever get the funds I would add Tamiyo but she is too expensive for me.

A {Jace, Memory Adept} would help for standard.

I would add {Evolving wilds} for mana fixing and {Borderland ranger} for fixing and chumping.

Also {Otherworld Atlas} you force them to draw at their endstep to make them discard 😂

If you are splashing white then add {nevermore}

{gut shot} delver as soon as it hits the board.  SB 3-4 of those maybe run 2-3 in your deck if he is that prevalent in your meta.

So im really trying to make a good deck using liliana, bc i love her lol. Im trying that solarflare deck idea. Im running elesh norn, with sun titans, phantasmal images and even an Avacyn to keep things interesting.  I currently have 4 unburial rites with some self milling cards.  I really want to put 4 temporal masteries in so bad bc the card looks sick!  Any suggestions?

Saw this kind of deck in action and it's sick.

This is my style of deck

I always love the look on people face when you mill them to death.
