Something that confuses me: if I pay R and X=7 for say, {Fireball}. Then {Reverberate}. Is the copy also 7, or does it require an X of it's own?

X is also copied.

Once the amount has been paid for, it doesn't need to be paid again. It copies the 7 paid for fireball

Confirmed. You copy whether it was kicked or not. You also copy the chosen modes.
