So my play group has a $10 Max on individual card purchase. no card can be bought that is over $10. And I broke it. I bought a {Gisela, blade of goldnight} for $12. I feel so ashamed.

That is silly....it seems kinda arbitrary. Just tell them you pulled it out of a pack...
Well I just pulled one.
We mainly made the rule so people wouldn't go crazy on cards, as we are all diff income brackets. Some make 20k some make 50k. We didn't want it to get out of hand.

Can you proxy expensive cards? Write on a basic land or something? Seems like you're cutting yourself off some pretty good cards because of Wizards rarity system and the whims of a secondary market.

Maybe I'm just biased because I can buy whatever I want. Don't mean to brag, but hey, after highschool, I made my choice, now I spend my money on crap I don't need all the time! Ugh...bills, I should pay those soon...
I agree with Hays, but in a different way. I could afford money cards if I chose, but I really enjoy kicking 🐴s with budget cards. The guys get all 😡 when my cheap elves smash their faces in. XD
