Post by: Imdowd80 on May 19, 2012, 02:49:11 PM
In a 60-70 card deck, what would be considered adding a splash of color?

Um depends on the highest cmc of the required color and how many colors are in the deck.

I'd say about 1-5 off color cards is a splash.

My zombie casual deck has gone from B/U to just black with a little splash of blue because of all the great black zombies out there!

Of course. Jester for the win. Lmao. He's right but I've found that depending on the highest number of color symbols and the amount of colors in the deck usually helps me. For example, just made a red blue standard human deck. Mostly red with a splash of blue. Two colors, highest number of symbols is two. So I put in 6.

Those sac search lands work well for a splash. Because when you usually need that color it doesn't matter if you have to wait. Also it removes a card from your deck. I forget there names but there commons.

Fetchlands? They're rares that were printed in Onslaught and Zendikar.

Yes. My reanimate deck has a splash of everything. I have blue with no blue lands so I rely on BoP and Shimmering Grotto.

Original dual lands are the best but in not paying $80 a land though.
