Title: Liliana of the veil
Post by: Richardalcala on May 15, 2012, 02:52:38 AM
Seriously thinking of taking {lilana of the veil} out of my deck for the PTQ. I just can't get value out of her cause all the token decks in the meta game. What does everyone think. I was thinking off replacing her with some {diabolical tutors}. I love that card. Then I can get my swords or dismember when I need them. Besides I hate throwing a card in the GY unless it's {grave crawler}.

{Diabilic Tutor} is too costly and slow to be competitive.  If tokens are running amok in your meta, go with {Ratchet Bomb}s and/or {Curse of Death's Hold}.  Someone more competitive than I might have good ideas for you.

Ratchet bomb is the best answer by far. 2 mana for sweep all tokens.

I appreciate the info. It just seems like I would have to run a playset of those cards to be able to get me out. I like {curse of deaths hold} but then there is {intageable virtue}. Mainly having a tuff time with humans and tokens right now. The cards I need to deal with them are in my deck. It's just a matter of getting them out.

Ok I think I have figured it out. I put a buch of flashback spells in there so if I discard them they aren't wasted. She is good. I just wasn't using her right.

If you really want {Diabolic Tutor} and have some extra cash {Demonic Tutor} is much better.

Thanks but it's for standard.

If you're going to play at a ptq I'm pretty sure you'll have to worry about a lot more than token decks, as I'm sure you know, but I will reiterate, you are going to have losses, sideboard ratchet bombs, at a ptq they're worth it, and a strong sideboard can mean matches won in your favor. Have you posted a deck list? Cause then we can all give you feedback on a card per card basis. Use this community to help you, cause everyone else, experienced players at least, that will play in the ptq will all have someone they will get feedback from.
