Title: Questions
Post by: Queezle on November 17, 2011, 06:26:54 AM
Dumb questions for sure but i am new. Do draw 7 catds if i have none at the begining of my upkeep???  Someone told me that i would did that.
And the same person also told me that you can have unlimited artifact creatures. If anyone can tell me if these "rules" are true or not that would be great. Ty

No, you do not draw a new had in your  upkeep.

Yes, you can have unlimited creature as a Type but you can only have 4 of any one card. So I could have 69 creatures out, for example, but only ever 4 {Pirate Ships} in those 69.

That sounds like they are talking about "house rule". Some groups like to make up special rules to make the game "more interesting" or easier for them. One group I know has a similar drawing rule, but you have to skip your turn in exchange.

Yeah..."house rules" for me too! still suffering from mana burn....=(
but like he said....only 4 of the same card but any amount of creature is ok.
The Rules of MTG only says that the deck should not contain more cards than you can shuffle....if you can shuffle a 200 cards deck without help...your good to go!

I have a question, there is no mana burn, correct? Then what happens to mana if it isn't used? Do you lose the mana? I heard someone say that you lost the mana

Yeah. You just lose the mana; there is no more mana burn. :)

So say on my first turn I play 1 mana. I have to be able to play something that costs 1 mana or my mana disepears?

No.
For example, you play a {Plains}. You can tap a plains to add one white mana to your mana pool. You can then use that white mana to cast something like an {Elite Vanguard}. If you don't have {Elite Vanguard} in your hand then you can choose not to tap it.

Right. Remember, you don't play mana, you play a Land. When you want to use mana to pay for something, you tap the Land to put mana into your pool to spend
