Commander is a fun format, have fun with it. Put your favorite cards in a deck with your favorite Legendary creature. Follow Color identity rules and remember to enjoy
It, it's a nice break from the ruthlessly competitive aspects of MtG.

It's a good idea to base the deck around the abilities of your commander too.

The aim of commander (at least when I started playing it) is to have lengthy casual fun battles, usually in a multiplayer format. Its the closest you can get to the way the game was played in its early days.

IMO an essential to commander is finding semi perm ways to get rid of artifact and enchantments. Take {Aura Shards} for example. A Semi perm way. Lol. In commander everyone plays artifacts and enchantments that could potentially win them the game. So it's nice to get rid of them.
