Title: Allies + metalcraft
Post by: Bernardcs on November 16, 2011, 10:00:54 AM
I was thinking about building a deck with allies and metalcraft. Any ideas what to start with?

I'm getting the opinion you want us to build your decks for you? 😜

At first thought, there is an Artifact cat ally from Worldwake I think that would help both causes (the name escapes me now). You wanna think about {Adaptive Automaton} too and choose Allies.

Frankly, I don't know if there is much overlap between Allies and Metalcraft.  I don't really see them working together all that much, aside from {Stonework Puma} (there you go, Spikepit ;) )

Cheers, pal. Yeah, other than Stonework (Adaptive is pushing it), I agree with BJ, there is not not much overlap.

Don't let that stop you, though.  People never thought chocolate and peanut butter when together either.  ;)

My best suggestion for putting together any sort of themed deck is do lots of card searching.  Read all of the Ally-relevant cards, read all of the metalcraft-relevant cards and go from there.  Good deckbuilding is all about research.

I don't want you guys to build it to me. I was just asking about your opinion on these.

Of course any suggestion will be welcomed!

I was away from magic for about 3 years and just resumed my hobby. I didn't know allies, not even metalcraft, but I thought it would be fun to build decks with them.

Allies working with allies and metalcraft with itself too.

Well, then i thought i could try to mix it and have fun with it. Like two groups working together, each one enriching its own group, but both with the same purpose: defeat the enemy.
